Students individually or in small teams interpret aspects of design in the context of a specific given theme through the research / design / produce phases.
Students learn to meet the challenge in a creative way and to interpret the interdisciplinary design task individually. They learn to conduct design research and apply quantitative and qualitative research methods, design thinking methods, formulate and reformulate the problem, develop ideas and present the results of their interpretation of the topic with linked analogue and digital products.
The students get to know different databases and search engines and special design-relevant online offers and can use them purposefully in their research using Boolean operators and phrase searches. They are able to critically evaluate the researched information and assess the depth of information.
The goal is a meaningful and, if possible, entertaining filmic implementation of the researched research topics under the premise of conveying dry or even seemingly unsuitable information in an exciting and didactically meaningful way via moving image.
Students create a responsive, multilingual, dynamic website on a given topic with database connection, where all their research results are collated and presented.
